During the holiday season, don’t you deserved to treat yourself to at romantic winter getaway with your sweetheart? Personally, the winter is my favorite time to spend a girl’s weekend getaway at a hotel or resort, or a charming BnB with a special date. One of the best features at a Maine hotel or inn is an outdoor hot tub.
If you’ve never sat in a hot tub while it’s snowing, then you are missing out on a special experience. As you relax in the hot tub with your head reclined, you can watch the snow melt over the steam rising from the hot tub. Observing the cold falling snow surrounding you as you’re enveloped by the warmth of the hot tub is quite a cool experience. Or on a clear crisp night, you can watch the stars overhead with warm bubbles below. Now that’s what I call a romantic getaway.
Many lovebirds pick out hotels in Southern Maine with outdoor hot tubs for a romantic Valentine’s Day retreat. Every winter, I plan a gabfest on a girl’s weekend getaway on the coast with friends where we enjoy snowshoeing, walks on the beach and dining out. A few hotels in Southern Maine offer outdoor hot tubs including Rhumbline Resort, Ogunquit Resort Motel, York Harbor Inn and Seaside Inn. At Seaside Inn, if you miss the snowfall on your weekend getaway, you’ll still get a prime view of the ocean from the hot tub!
